How to do it
- Wear sturdy shoes, bring water and a snack, and check the weather and route before you leave.
- Walk at a steady pace you can talk at, taking shorter steps uphill and using your legs rather than leaning on your knees.
- Take breaks when needed and go downhill slowly with bent knees.

- Starting too fast or too far for your fitness and running out of energy.
- Wearing unsuitable shoes or bringing too little water.
