Smith machine incline press
A guided incline press that targets the upper chest and front shoulders.

How to do it
- Set the bench to a low-to-moderate incline and align it so the bar comes down to your upper chest.
- Unhook the bar with shoulder blades pulled back and lower it under control.
- Press up in a straight path until your arms are straight, then rack the bar.
Common mistakes
- Using a very steep incline, which turns the lift into a shoulder press.
- Letting the shoulders roll forward at the top of each rep.
