Lying leg raise
A floor leg raise that trains the lower abs and hip flexors.

How to do it
- Lie on your back with legs straight and your lower back pressed gently into the floor.
- Raise both legs together until they point to the ceiling.
- Lower them slowly, stopping before the lower back starts to arch.
Common mistakes
- Letting the lower back arch off the floor as the legs come down.
- Swinging the legs with momentum; bend the knees if the straight-leg version is too hard.
