Landmine rotation
A standing rotational move that trains the obliques with a landmine bar.
- Muscle group: Core
- Equipment: Barbell
- Difficulty: Intermediate
Also known as: Landmine twist, Landmine trunk rotation, Landmine rainbow, Landmine-rotationer, Rotation med landmine
How to do it
- Anchor the bar end in a landmine, hold the free end with both hands at chest height and stand with feet wider than the hips.
- Rotate your torso and hips to swing the bar in an arc to one side while your arms stay long.
- Return through the middle to the other side with control, keeping your hips and shoulders moving together.
Common mistakes
- Swinging the bar with the arms instead of rotating the trunk.
- Using so much weight that you lose control at the end of each arc.
