Sit-up
A full-range ab exercise where the torso rises from the floor to sitting.

How to do it
- Lie on your back with knees bent, feet flat and arms crossed over your chest.
- Curl your upper body up toward your knees using your abs until you are sitting.
- Lower back down slowly and in control, one segment of the spine at a time.
Common mistakes
- Pulling on the neck or head with the hands.
- Throwing the torso up with momentum and dropping back down fast.
