Also known as: Kneeling hip flexor stretch, Half-kneeling hip stretch, Hoftebøjerstræk, Strækøvelse for hoftebøjere
How to do it
- Kneel on one knee on a pad with the other foot in front, both knees about 90 degrees.
- Tuck the pelvis under by squeezing the glute on the kneeling side.
- Shift gently forward until you feel a stretch at the front of the hip; hold and breathe, then switch.
Common mistakes
- Arching the lower back instead of tucking the pelvis.
- Leaning so far forward that the stretch moves into the knee.
