Broad jump
A standing horizontal jump that trains explosive hip and leg power.

Also known as: Standing long jump, Standing broad jump, Længdespring fra stående, Hop frem
How to do it
- Stand with feet hip-width apart, swing your arms back and hinge into a quarter squat.
- Swing the arms forward and jump out as far as you can, extending hips, knees and ankles.
- Land softly on both feet in a controlled squat and reset before the next rep.
Common mistakes
- Landing with stiff knees or letting the knees cave in.
- Stumbling forward on landing instead of sticking it.
