Side-lying hip abduction
A side-lying leg lift that strengthens the outer hip and glute medius.

How to do it
- Lie on your side with your hips stacked and the bottom knee bent for stability.
- Keeping the top leg straight and toes pointing forward, lift it slowly toward the ceiling.
- Lower with control without rolling the pelvis backward, then switch sides.
Common mistakes
- Rolling the hips backward and lifting the leg too far.
- Swinging the leg quickly instead of lifting it under control.
