Kettlebell sumo deadlift
A wide-stance deadlift with one kettlebell between your feet that is easy to learn and kind to the back.

How to do it
- Stand with a wide stance, toes turned out, and a kettlebell on the floor between your feet.
- Hinge and bend your knees to grip the handle, chest up and back flat.
- Push through your feet to stand, squeezing your glutes at the top, then lower with control.
Common mistakes
- Rounding the back as you reach down for the handle.
- Letting the knees collapse inward.
