Hamstring stretch
A simple stretch for the back of the thigh. Held per side.

How to do it
- Sit on the floor with one leg straight and the other bent, or place a heel on a low step.
- Keep your back long and hinge forward from the hips until you feel a stretch in the back of the thigh.
- Hold the position, breathe slowly and then switch sides.
Common mistakes
- Rounding the back and pulling with the arms rather than hinging from the hips.
- Bouncing in the stretch instead of holding it steadily.
