Close-grip lat pulldown
A pulldown with a narrow grip that emphasises the lower lats and biceps.

How to do it
- Sit with your thighs secured and take a close neutral or V-handle grip.
- Lean back slightly and pull the handle to your upper chest by driving your elbows down.
- Let the bar rise slowly until your arms are straight and your lats are stretched.
Common mistakes
- Pulling with the arms and rocking the torso back and forth.
- Pulling the handle behind or far in front of the chest.
