Barbell glute bridge
A floor-based loaded glute bridge, a simple way to load the glutes.

How to do it
- Lie on your back with knees bent, roll the padded bar over your hips and hold it in place.
- Brace your core, tuck your ribs and drive your hips up by squeezing your glutes.
- Pause at the top with a straight line from knees to shoulders, then lower with control.
Common mistakes
- Arching the lower back at the top instead of finishing with the glutes.
- Pushing through the toes so the heels lift.
