Seated calf raise
A seated machine calf raise with bent knees that targets the deeper calf muscle (soleus).

How to do it
- Sit with the balls of your feet on the platform and the pad resting on your lower thighs.
- Release the safety and lower your heels slowly for a full stretch.
- Push up onto your toes as high as you can, pause, and lower again.
Common mistakes
- Bouncing at the bottom instead of pausing.
- Cutting the range short with a load that is too heavy.
