Leg curl
A machine isolation exercise that bends the knee against resistance to train the hamstrings.

Also known as: Seated leg curl, Hamstring curl, Baglårscurl, Lårcurl
How to do it
- Adjust the machine so the pad sits just above your heels and the pivot lines up with your knees.
- Curl the pad back by bending your knees, keeping hips and back still.
- Return slowly until the legs are nearly straight.
Common mistakes
- Lifting the hips or using momentum.
- Dropping the weight on the way back.
