Lateral lunge
A sideways lunge that trains the legs and inner thighs in a different direction.

How to do it
- Stand with feet together, then take a wide step to one side.
- Sit back into the stepping hip with that knee bent and the other leg straight, both feet flat.
- Push off to return to standing and alternate sides.
Common mistakes
- Letting the bent knee collapse inward.
- Rounding the back to reach lower.
