Close-grip push-up
A push-up with the hands closer together that shifts more work to the triceps.

How to do it
- Place your hands under your chest, about shoulder-width or a little narrower.
- Lower with the elbows close to your sides.
- Press back up to straight arms. Drop to the knees or raise your hands if you need to.
Common mistakes
- Letting the elbows flare out wide.
- Placing the hands so close that the wrists hurt; use a comfortable width.
