Cable lateral raise
A one-arm side raise on a low cable that keeps tension on the side shoulder through the whole movement.

How to do it
- Set a handle at the lowest position and stand side-on, holding it with the far hand.
- With a slight elbow bend, raise the arm out to the side up to about shoulder height.
- Lower slowly across your body and repeat; then switch sides.
Common mistakes
- Leaning away and swinging the torso to lift the weight.
- Lifting the hand above shoulder height with the shoulder shrugged.
